Manage Staff
Org-managers can invite staff as location-managers for a specific location, and can also invite other org-managers (co-admins) to help manage the entire organisation. Location-managers can access admin for their assigned location — they can manage queues and devices without needing full org-manager access.
Invite a location-manager
Section titled “Invite a location-manager”Only org-managers can send invites. To grant a staff member location-manager access:
- In admin, open the location you want to grant access to.
- Go to the Team tab.
- Click Invite.
- Enter the staff member's email address.
- Click Send invite.
The staff member receives an email with an accept link. The link is valid for 7 days. Once they click the link and complete sign-up (or sign in if they already have a Jonot account), they appear as an active team member with the location-manager role for that location.
Invite a co-admin (org-manager)
Section titled “Invite a co-admin (org-manager)”Org-managers can invite other people to become org-managers of the same organisation — giving them full administrative access across all locations.
- In admin, go to Settings → Organisation.
- In the Co-admins section, enter the person's email address.
- Click Invite co-admin.
The invited person receives an email with an accept link. The link is valid for 7 days. Once accepted, they gain the org-manager role for the organisation.
Manage pending invites
Section titled “Manage pending invites”Invites that have not yet been accepted appear with a "Pending" status.
- To revoke a pending invite, use the Revoke action on the invite row. The invite link is invalidated immediately.
- To resend a pending invite (for example if the link has expired or the email was missed), use the Resend action. This re-mints the invite token, re-sends the email, and extends the expiry to a fresh 7-day window. Revoked or already-accepted invites cannot be resent.
You can re-invite the same email address at any time after revoking.
Removing active team members
Section titled “Removing active team members”Removing active members is not yet available in the UI. Contact support if you need to revoke an active team member's access.
What location-managers can and cannot do
Section titled “What location-managers can and cannot do”Can do:
- Manage queues for their location
- Pair and remove devices for their location
- View the waiting list and ticket history
Cannot do:
- Create or delete locations, or access other locations
- Invite or remove staff
- Manage billing or access org-level settings
For full administrative access, an org-manager role is required. Org-managers are managed at the organisation level — contact your org-manager or see Organisations and Locations.
