Billing and Plans

Billing is managed by org-managers. Location-managers do not have access to billing settings.

Open the billing page at https://admin.jonot.io/settings/billing/.

Click Manage subscription to open the Polar-powered customer portal. From there you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View all past invoices
  • Download invoice PDFs for your records
  • Cancel your subscription

Upgrades and downgrades are handled through the customer portal. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing period — you keep your current plan's features until then.

Locations are uncapped on both plans — create as many as you need, whenever you need them. The first location is included in your plan; every additional location is billed on your organisation's peak active-location count for the billing period (create and delete freely — you're only charged for the highest count reached, not per-create). When you add a location beyond the included count, the create dialog shows the estimated extra monthly cost before you confirm.

Devices (paired kiosks, displays, and desks) are tier-gated instead of metered:

  • Starter — up to 5 devices.
  • Pro — unlimited devices.

The Usage section on the billing page shows your current counts and, for locations, the per-location price and an estimate of what your next invoice will include based on this period's peak so far. Plans with no cap on a resource (e.g. Pro devices) show Unlimited instead of a count against a limit.

If you have a promo or discount code, apply it from the Have a promo code? section — it appears when you have an active subscription.

  1. Type the code into the Promo code field.
  2. Click Apply.

A confirmation appears — the discount takes effect on your next invoice (it is not applied retroactively to the current period). Invalid or expired codes are rejected with a message, and repeated attempts are rate-limited (wait a minute if you hit the limit).

To cancel, open the customer portal and select Cancel subscription. Cancellation is end-of-period — your access continues until the current billing period expires. You will not be charged for any future periods.

All your data (locations, queues, ticket history) is retained after cancellation for a grace period, giving you time to export or reactivate.

If you cancelled but change your mind, return to the billing page before your current period ends and click Reactivate. Your subscription resumes from the current period end with no gap in service.

If your subscription has already lapsed, you don't need to start over from scratch — the billing page shows the plan picker again. Choose Starter or Pro, complete checkout, and your subscription is restored. Your organization, locations, and queues are all still there.

Starter and Pro plans include a free trial. Your card is stored at checkout but not charged until the trial ends. You can cancel during the trial at no cost. The trial start date and end date are shown on the billing page.
